Description

Underwater is Ludovico Einaudi's first solo piano album in twenty years. The album was created during lockdown, a period in which the Italian composer found the peace to write twelve new, intimate pieces. Einaudi himself views the work as an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a place where time slows down. The compositions are pure and direct, performed with just the composer and his piano. The result is a collection that takes the listener to a serene, immersed world.

The music on "Underwater" moves within the Modern Classical genre, featuring the minimalist and cinematic elements for which Einaudi is known. His compositions are accessible, often characterized by compelling melodies and a soothing atmosphere.
