Description

On Bill Frisell's "In My Dreams," the top guitarist brings together some of his closest friends in a unique sextet featuring Jenny Scheinman on violin, Eyvind Kang on viola, Hank Roberts on cello, Thomas Morgan on bass, and Rudy Royston on drums. Their musical history stretches far back, though they had never collaborated in this specific formation until this project. They explore a wide range of American music, from Frisell's own compositions to jazz and Americana classics. The album, produced by Lee Townsend, honors Frisell's 75th birthday.
